Don, neither the Assyrians nor the Hebrews were monotheists. The Assyrians had a council of gods called the Ashurah/Ashera, (the 10 gods of the Tree of Life). They were the 10 (as in the 10 gods, the 10 attributes of Ashur, the council of 10, the common denominator of all cosmology).

The Jehwists, or Jehovists, also worshipped the 10 gods, the "Elohim", which means "council of gods" and this is proven in the Qabalah, the Zohar, and the Torah, and indeed they took the common denominator of cosmology from our 10 and called themselves ISRAEL, (meaning Isra El) which means the 10 Gods.

I have found NO ancient culture to be monotheistic. Not even Buddha, (genetic consciousness) referred to a singular God.
