I followed your hypothetical and gave murder as one example which I obviously know is not the option. Then I give you the last option...which is to ban religion. Your last point about the tax, etc. achieves that end in disguise. Good job, you arrived at an answer. ..it does not..it merely separates the opportunists from the really religious...why should people need a "break" to express their LOVE for Jesus? It seems if you charge Christians a nickel jizya, they`ll dump Jesus..and if you don`t GIVE them a nickel, in tax-rebates, they`ll ALSO dump Jesus? My, aren`t WE die-hards! > >I don't know why I bother mentioning it after some of your replies, but there's no point in asking to not be grouped with the others again. ...you mark yourself off as DISTINCTIVE in a substantial way..and not with mere window-dressing and there isn`t anyone who`ll accord you that distinction FASTER than yooors trooli. You're in the habit already. Let me just say this, most of us Assyrians in Iran got along well with the Muslims there after much of this western BS was cleared up. We lived very well under the Shah, whom America collaborated with Britain and got rid of b/c he was a threat to their oil interests. ...I agree...my family says the same thing. If anything, it was the Assyrians of Iraq and Hakkari who did a good job of falling into the tricks of the West...brining along a few ignorant supporters from Urmia with them. ...very true...except for Agha Petrous AND Marshimuun. Previous to that movement, Urmia was a place where Assyrians were flourishing and living relatively comfortably. The actions of a few ruined it for the rest of us. ..very true. ..here`s a chance to see how distinctive you be..and answer me truly...why do you want to BELIEVE Assyrians converted to Christianity? I was told all the same stories and given the same "history"..it struck me as highly improbable...and later reading taught me how Christianity REALLY spread...why do you insist that what you were told as a kid HAS to be true? Do you believe in the Easter Bunny too? See if you can THINK of an answer this time..and not merely repeat one. I can get the standard answer for any number of coolies...what`s your`s? --------------------- |
