Whoa whoa whoa Farid. Here are you HIGHLIGHTING text again. I would really like it if you stopped doing that. You accuse others of highlighting events yet you do the same to other people. Did you not read my mentioning Agha Putrus was poisoned by the French (who were nominally CHRISTIAN)? Did you not read into my distaste for the West who used the rule of divide and conquer to come divide us Assyrians into the Assyrian Christians and Assyrian Muslims (further dividing us by forcing the term "Arab" to be developed into an ethnicity)? Did you not read my distaste that the Assyrian Christians bought INTO the West's flattery and lies and in doing so sealed their own fate of a lifetime of hatred between them and the non-Christian (atheist or muslim) Assyrians of what is now called Iraq? Read the CONTEXT of my post...you'll see I only brought up the Mar Shimun Benyamin assassination b/c you were repeatedly denying killings. I feel as though you give the appearance of being objective (and you actually can be), but that really you have your own bias and leanings. Shit...just when I think you're different from the others you go and point out stupid shit like they do to make a point. And while many of your points are good...you're really just highlighting and picking and choosing certain points you think stick out so you can further your own agenda. Just like our people bought into the BS of the west and started hating each other (e.g. Muslims and Christians) - you're now teaching people to hate Christianity or Christians simply b/c of their affiliation. I was going to save this comment for another post I was going to address at you soon when my semester ends, but I'm going to pose it right now since you seem to be all-knowing: Everyone else (or the majority of the "leaders") has failed at leading. Additionally, our "academics" and "intellectuals," who are supposed to give ideas to our people which can help lead/guide them, have failed at doing the same. You found your niche in critiquing people, ideas, events, etc, but what do you have as a plan of action - as recourse/solution? This is the most important thing I've seen our people fail at - REPEATEDLY. Go on prophet, solve our problems like our ancestors used to. In my eyes, you will be different - a true revolutionary like you want to be - when you stop picking wounds and give us less enlightened people (since you're older and wiser) a solid plan (or if you're going to pick wounds as you're free to do, at least do both by offering a plan). As of right now (this post of yours), you remind me of most other middle/upper middle-aged Assyrian males and this kind of stuff is exactly what makes the younger people not give a shit about making a difference.
