It was about 3 years ago I was visiting a cousin in California and we dined at a sushi restaurant named Ahi Sushi on "Sushi Row" in LA. The chef informed us that the tuna was fresh and caught early that morning. We ordered it sashimi. The tuna was presented to us in a beautiful glass plate. The chef generously sliced them heftily. Atop the slices he dribbled a light and translucent oil and some course salt. I dabbled a little wasabi and a quick dip in soy sauce. It was decadent. Emil, so said you wanted to hear more. That was the only thing that came to mind. Boy I'm hungry. --------------------- |
