If he wasn't doing a lick to help Assyrians he'd still be doing his part. By being who he is.

How is the West going to help Bet Nahrain when the West is losing their own? These kids today are listening to 50 cent, paying a shit load of money to hear him go on about how he's been shot up... society looks down on a brother... all the while helping him climb the charts and sell 500k a week. When Walter Aziz is happy about selling 4000 albums.

Narsai, Benny Atouri, Walter, Ashur Drama Group, and Jimmy Khnanisho headline a very small list. In fact, if we were to start up an Assyrian Entertainment Weekly of our own it would be a stretch, and a large font, to fill in a dozen pages. But, one thing's for sure, they do their part by being who they are.

All it took for me was to hear about one of these chaps. I became a fan. That’s what got me listening to Assyrian music, watching Assyrian plays, reading about Assyrians, browsing Assyrian forums, listening to my parent’s Assyrian stories, telling my own Assyrian stories, and worried about Assyrians in Bet Nahrain.

He's not wasted. He's trying to make a difference. Even though he has made one by being Narsai. The rest is just a free side dish that he doesn't have to prepare. He makes it because he wants to. I like that.
