...I get the feeling the entire review has an apology of sorts in it...a coded message to non-savages who would understand that he is patronizing us and not hold it against him...for doing such a sloppy job.

Not only could Parpola not bring himself to start the book at the beginning (not even going back to see what he missed when he realized, after that last half, the entire book was a MUST READ! Apparently HE didnīt feel he needed to MUST READ!)...without even bothering to think this might strike one of US as ridiculous...but he lets on that he started at chapter 10, the part about the so-called cruelty of the Assyrians, because Aprim lifted it from PARPOLA himself. Aprim lifts..he doesnīt write...he doesnīt think...try to reason with him some time..heīll just blink back at you like a lizard caught out in the sun.

Parpola enjoyed reading HIMSELF.
