When they listed the charges against him they said "you are accused of torturing and killing Iraqis". He said "they were a bunch of thieves and insurgents". ..okay, so Allawi got a little carried away and said stones and shoes were an assassination attempt...but the point is still valid. People forget the kind of unrest and turmoil and coups there were in Iraq before Saddam came to power and suppressed them all....now they'll see what kinds of things Saddam was up against...the Americans and British can't even bring stability to the country and they expected Saddam to do it with NO violence and repression? What has the United States done in Iraq except make better tyrants than Saddam ever was? Who haven't they killed and arrested and tortured and used chemicals on and radioctive materials on and starved to death...were there only kangaroo courts when Saddam was in charge? Were there only stories planted in fake media when Saddam was around? Is Saddam the only one to attack a country illegally? Saddam struggled against all the forces that are bedeviling the Coalition forces today...only he insisted on keeping Iraq TOGETHER...it takes no great skill to divide the country up...to hand the government over to a Shiite majority...to force the Sunnis out or to hand over the north to make a Kurdistan...these things are being done to foster the interests of the United States...not Iraq. Let's see how well any Iraqi president does who tries to keep Iraq whole...we already can see human right's abuses in the new Iraq...as we saw even MORE such abuses in Iran once the Savak was gone and the Mullahs in place...but they'll be OUR torturers..like the beasts of the Chritian Inquisition who could torture a child in the morning and eat dinner that night...because all bloodshed in God's name is okey dokey...which is THE value of god and religion to the State. --------------------- |
