>***Mr. Chibo. It is a shame that you hold the view that Christianity and Assyrian’s are opposed to each other. Particularly due to the strong attachment to Christianity which you have shown in the past. But the religion you worship is purely your business alone. Contrary to "Pancho's" warped view, I and millions of other Assyrians chose to be Christians and Assyrians.

### I hate tp burst your bubble but you didn't chose anything. It was hoisted on you just as it was forced by the Romans onto our ancestors.

One does not have to be a worshipper of Ashur (i.e. not the term "Ashur" which is used for "God" in the Bible but the Ashur which the Ancient Assyrians used to worship) to be called an Assyrians. Because I follow the Christian religion does not make me or the overwhelming majority (perhaps 99.99%) of Assyrians unworthy of being Assyrians.

### You have a right to hijack one of the numerous, and arguably one of the greatest, names from our 5,000 year old history and afix it to your identity, BUT we expect you to at least act the part. Start by studying up on the origns of Christianity and the answers will come to you.

>The temple of Istar which you refer to is located 20 minutes from my home and despite its founders’ attempts on radio programs to hide the fact that he is worshipping the "Pagan Gods" you have just admitted to it above. The founder of 'Heckla D'Istar' stated on air that he has long been against Christianity and that his Garden or Temple is not a place of worship but a place to come in touch with what he called 'mother earth'.

###It's a shame that you put down your ancestors in such a way. Are you also this disrespectful to your parents? Let me make it very clear, our people never worshipped pagan gods they worshipped their god Ashur, the creator of heaven and earth. Only jealous plagiarising Jewish writers considered our god pagan and looked upon our people in such a way. Now since you have backed Christianity my question to you is what do you think of Psalm 137:8-9 and how do you reconile your religion's words with your identity?

>
>Feel free to ignore this question Mr. Chibo, but do you consider yourself a Christian, of course coming from a very strong Christian family?

###I respect my parents choice to be Christians BUT I consider myself an Assyrian and a follower of our true God Ashur. Our holy book is Gilgamesh which is a spiritual guide to ancient Assyrian mysticism on which the Jewish Kabbalah is based. Jesus was also a great teacher and mystic who followed in OUR footsteps and spoke OUR language. That's why it was so easy for the Romans to rename our true holidays and change Ashur to Jesus and force this religion onto our ancestors.
