"%%% The scholars all refer to a legend. A legend is not actually fact. The artists have been inspired by that very same legend to create their artwork."

***Then we should agree that the jury is out on this one. I believe what I believe and you believe what you believe – although I will continue to accept the fact that the Assyrians converted in Edessa.

"%%% I suggest you look up the Jesus in the manger story. It's common knowledge that Jesus was not born during the winter solstice, unlike Tammuz. During December 21st it is winter in the Middle East and there would be no shepherds tending their sheep at that time of year. Then we move onto Easter(Ishtar). Have you never wondered why it's celebratedd exactly 9 months before Christmas?"

***I seriously cannot believe this. Once again I believe what I believe and you believe what you believe.

"I am very dissapointed in you I expected much better from one of my students. You came on here probably because aina is down thinking you'd easily win this debate and you'd prove a point. But instead these discussions have opened up many more questions for you then they have answered. This in itself is a good thing. Religion itself is a continuous search for the truth. I suggest you take a deep breath relax and do some further research. I admit I don't know all the answers but at least I'm asking all the right questions."

***Mr. Chibo rest assured I am quite relaxed. Why are you disappointed in me? Because I remain a solid advocate and supporter of the Assyrian Church of the East and because I am not afraid to say that I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? I am not against discussion or debate. For the record, I did not come to this forum because AINA shut down. I was banned from AINA for a long time, and not just banned, the most severe level of IP address banning - this was because the administrators of AINA did not believe in the democratic principals of a right to voice ones opinion but rather censored any supporters of ACOE. And what is "this debate" that you are referring to? I do not use this Forum in an attempt to win anything but rather using the internet and keeping in touch with the other Assyrians of the world (of course the moderator of this Forum does not acknowledge that I am an Assyrian because I am a Christian). I too admit that I do not have the answers, much more reading and research needs to be done to even attain a minor level of knowledge although this does not stop me from debating and discussing.

"P.S. My regards to your dad and family."

***I accept your regards if they were meant with good intentions. Similarly please accept my best regards.
