Gee, the new Iraq looks more and more like the old one...except this one is more obviously run by the United States...we got rid of the middle man...we no longer suggest to Saddam what we want done...we do it ourselves, covertly.

These news 'sources" are the same ones GS Jackass quotes from. There's an entire industry, a shadow media, created just so party hacks can get their message out there in the form of "news" to be quoted by dummies as the real thing.

Let's see, we got pissed at Saddam for using chemicals against innocent civilians and we use white phosphorus and naplam against innocent civillians...we accused Saddam of disappearing people in the night and we have goon squads who do the same...we accused Saddam of torturing people in Abu Ghraib and other places and we tortured people in Abu Ghraib and other places...we couldn't accuse Saddam of having secret jails in other countries but we added that to our repertoire...we accused Saddam of planting stories in newspapers presenting himself as a popular and good guy and we plant stories in newspapers presenting ourselves as popular and good guys, we accused Saddam of attacking a country illegally and seeking to spread his attacks to include Saudi Arabia and we attacked a country illegally and could attack anyone else with impunity any day we choose to.

Saddam turned out to be quite the role model for the United States.
