...I am fascinated by the sort of mental processessing and moral compass just displayed by Hanna Hajjar when he posted that anyone coming to our thingie must have to accept that there is an "unlevel playing field" here. For any tribal members of Hanna`s who be confused, an unlevel playing field connotes an unfair advantage pertains to one side...most likely the "home" team...in over words if you write here you are at a disadvantage because we, the home team, use unfair means to render you ineffective..or diminish your playing capacity...in other words we cheat..and you had best beware.

This is terribly interesting to me. It gives me an insight into just how cowardly these people are...how badly they have been fucked with in their heads and why we not only have nothing to fear from them...but should treasure them and nurse them much as the United States feeds North Korea...because the stupid fucks play right INTO America`s hands...as these Christians play into Ashur`s. If there`s anything I can do to KEEP Hanna and GM writing from safety...I`d do it in a heartbeat...they are the greatest asset Ashur even had, in the modern era.

I can`t leave off this subject without recalling an unpleasant incident for us all, but for Tiglath especially. I apologize ahead of time for any discomfort...but you know, there are all sorts of battles being fought..the most backward ones are with guns...there are finer battles, wars of words for ideas and ideals...for right Reason and better truths..for change and growth and against the forces of bigotry, racism, mysogyny... and just plain hatred wrapped in a bible or flag...no one conscripts you for these battles...there are no uniforms, no comrades most of the time...no support systems, no Halliburton...mostly you`re on your own wherever you happen to be when the call comes and it comes from YOU...not from the sky...and when it does you look around you and realize what must be done...you shoulder your own burden...you train yourself...you prepare...and you engage. And of course there are casualties and you better believe you can get killed...so I think Tiglath is well prepared to bear the rest of this...

I`m refering to the last time Aprim accepted a challenge to discuss an issue like a gentleman...like a person filled with the courage of his convictions, with his facts marshalled by his side...and with a determination to fight a fair fight and let the chips fall where they may. To be sure the debate didn`t get nasty, we all agreed on Paul Yonan, a basically decent person, to act as moderator...Paul happens to be Tiglath`s first cousin, but Tiglath didn`t mind...we were going into the battle clean and expected no less from our Christian opponents.

I had nothing to do with it...the discussion was between Aprim and Tiglath with Paul moderating...it took place at beth.

There were some initial exchanges...and sure enough...Aprim began packing his bags again, ready to run for the hills. Sensing this...knowing the preliminary signs of an Aprim escape...a cousin or three of his posted something completely gratuitous, vulgar and out of line about Tiglath`s deceased father...a man I knew nothing of but from what other`s soon said, a truly exceptional person...an Assyrian through and through...who`d developed some unconventional ideas about events he`d participated in when younger...but a man well known and loved in our community.

It`s too ugly to write down again what was said.,...except to say this was written by a Christian...one who had nothing constructive to say on the issues, but instead went for the tried and true formula of personal insults...aimed in this case at someone`s deceased father...you`d think some shred of decency would be left in a Christian...but that was not the case.

This scurrilous post was allowed to remain...Aprim ran for the exit..the debate was over...and naturally Aprim was declared the winner. That didn`t bother us..or Tiglath. He did ask, once, that Hanna remove the offensive post...which needless to say Hanna would have done in a hurry in any other circumstance...but he refused. Next Paul pleaded with Hannah to do the right and decent thing, because the man so slandered ws after all his own uncle..which is no more than follow his own rules for his forum..again Hanna refused...his reasoning and I use that word deliberately, was that so long as Tiglath had brought up a certain slant on the topic at hand...then he, Tiglath, had opened the doors to "anything"...and should not complain..,.Hanna siad he was merely being "fair"...even though Tiglath had said NOTHING about anyone`s parents or even anything close to it..in fact, several posts had attacked Tiglath personally in deliberately provoking terms..the intention being to force him to respond in kind...for that is Hanna`s other trick...to do such a thing himself..or wait till a cousin does..and use that as an excuse to remove ALL the posts...including the calm one that had merely ruffled a Christian feather...but Tiglath had not responded in kind...he maintained his dignity and swept past the garbage hurled at him...not even the post about his father slowed him or gave him pause...he merely kept right on, blowing holes in Aprim big enough to run a truck through...it was Aprim`s abrupt departure...followed by Tiglath`being banned and Paul leaving in disgust that ended it...and sure enough...as soon as Tiglath was safely out of the way...Aprim strode manfully, for a Christian, down from the mountaintop where he`s gone to meditate with his trembling muse...and ANSWERED Tiglath...and was applauded to the skies by the rest of boys at beth.

As I recall this was also the time when Shushan first showed what a demented bitch she is...but that`s another lifetime entirely.

At any time we could have done the same to Hanna`s father..or mother...we could have "leveled the playing field" beth plays in. I could go a step further and find the name of Hanna`s mother..his father has died, but so what...I could play FAIR and besmirch the poor dead man`s memory..a man who never did me any harm and who is beyond defending himself...that would have been FAIR according to Hanna, the Christian...the Christian dog.

But we didn`t...and we wouldn`t. And WE are unfair?

Like I said, religion makes you stupid...unable to conduct a decent conversation or deal with opposition in an intelligent or humane way...and it makes you NASTY!
