...Americans are prone to praising themselves and forgetting quickly their own backwardness when they slam other people and nations for in essence doing the same thing Americans did but no longer do. Christians do this too...they see themselves as having no past history...like, if they learned "X" just today and their neighbors aren't there yet...but will be, Christians claim the high ground...when it's all just a matter of different people reaching "X" at different times.

For instance:

LOS ANGELES, March 10 — Three weeks ago, Dr. Wafa Sultan was a largely unknown Syrian-American psychiatrist living outside Los Angeles, nursing a deep anger and despair about her fellow Muslims.

Today, thanks to an unusually blunt and provocative interview on Al Jazeera television on Feb. 21, she is an international sensation, hailed as a fresh voice of reason by some, and by others as a heretic and infidel who deserves to die.

...for instance...it was only a few years ago that Christians murdered six million people...Jews...whom Christians have viewed for over 1000 years as the murderers of their Jesus...maybe that didn't make them heretics....but how much better is it to be seen as murderers? How much pain and murder did Jewish people born centuries after this one "crime", have to submit to?

...and what about all the Christians other Christians murdered as heretics? No one knows exactly how many...but the number is up there in the millions...over 100,000 women alone were burned to death as witches. And what crime did three million Jewish children commit that made them deserving of the horrendous treatment, on their way to being murdered, Christians meted out just 60 years ago?

..Islam is 700 years YOUNGER than Christianity. Go back 700 years in Christian history and you'll see thousands and hundreds of thousands of people being killed as heretics...by BOTH Catholics and Protestants. So...let's ease up on Islam and all this hysteria about how violent Muslims are...the most we can say about Islam is that it is long overdue for a Renaissance...and Christians aren't helping any by constantly meddling and supporting the most backward and fanatical elements within Islam in order to further their own agenda.
