...when the young actor left Mongolia for Europe he was accompanied to the dock by an older friend who gave him this advice: "always make sure to seek out those who are above you in learning or achievement or character for they will inspire you to strive upwards...and likewise avoid too close contact with those below you for they will only drag you down to their level." I have the same advice for Narsai. These AIDS people have managed to make him behave and react as they do...he has not been able to open their eyes but instead they have dimned his own excellent vision. He even yelled at me over the phone that, "well...you DO say some pretty outrageous stuff"! So what? Is this about TALKING or doing? On his own, without the noxious influence of the AIDS people Narsai would have taken the donation from the devil himself because he knows what the ultimate goal is...to do good work. Church people certainly do their share of nasty deeds, so why can't the Devil do good once in awhile? In Shakespeare, in a play whose title escapes me now, one character describes another as one who, "will not do the Lord's work if the Devil bid him do it". --------------------- |
