...it's Kakovitvch again...his tongue loosed out of hell to confound ordinary minds. The title of his post says enough...any more and you risk the headache.

"Re: 'RIDDANCE AND REBUILDING!"

...I'm all for the RIDDANCE part....been doing it for a few years now: getting rid of people. It's the REBUILDING part I don't get. To re-build implies there was a building there already that was destroyed...so you have to build it again. There hasn't been any building in Assyria for over 2500 years. Nothing but some monastaries and pissant churches...and a bingo hall or two. At last count those were still standing and, with Mar Bawi's help, the churches at least are growing in number.

...Just what was ruined recently in Assyria that Ivan wants to build again? Does he mean to imply that they HAD built something in these few years? Were there viable political parties anywhere or was it all a house of cards and is THAT what he wants to rebuild?

...Seems to me we only get one kind of architect in Assyria and he's always aiming for the sky, for some cloud there where Assyrians will get what they earned...a place next to Jesus. As far as any structure here on earth, that's beyond them. They aren't prepared to hoist mortar and bricks on earth...just palaces in the sky.

...The ancient Assyrians had the right idea...when a building, a real building, collpased due to incompetance, those responsible were executed. That way they got rid of lousy builders whose buildings took care of themselves. Which is what enabled civilization and architure as well as engineering and construction to expand and develop...no need to actually kill anyone today...just see them for what they are and don't sign up.

Kakovitvch is great at building Arabesques in the sky, which you can't live in anyway. But he's harmless...if you don't read him at one sitting.
