...I'd like to share a line from an article about freedom of expression on the internet...comes from the San Jose Mercury News..a not totally silly newspaper...

"...a robust, unfettered conversation in which a diversity of views is freely expressed is a cornerstone of a healthy democracy and is guaranteed by the First Amendment."

...you'll notice that the word "democracy" is preceeded by the word HEALTHY. This is what the boys DON'T understand. In Iraq...in Nazi Germany, they had democracy...that is: the majority ruled. But they did not have a HEALTHY democracy in that too many restrictions were placed on individual freedom...what you might call "minority rights". Yes, those famous RIGHTS our minor boys clamor and weep and go to war for and DEMANDSES...in Iraq!

...They can't understand that here in America, a Christian country...on THEIR message boards, they act every bit the part of petty tyrants.

...American democracy was so special because the Founders determined not to allow a tyranny of the Majority to replace a tyranny of one, allowing a tyranical monarch to merely be replaced by a tyranical mob...this is what made simple democracy by-the-numbers into a fertile spawning ground for individual liberty and therefore brilliance...no matter HOW stressed out a Peter or Hanna or Firas OR Saddam get when they can't silence you.

The right NOT to be "stressed" is NOT a litmus test of democracy and certainly not of freedom.

And since personal freedom means the freedom to reject Jesus as well...the Christian Terrosists among us want to scuttle the Constitution and make us into another god-country ruled by Sharia law...for the Fundamentalist is always the one with the narrowest definition which even HE finds hard to swallow...and therefore demands conformity as a way of convincing HIMSELF.

Benjamin Franklin owes the continued brilliance of America, if it is to have any, to QUEERS!!! If they can breathe freely in the sun then we will have left the Dark Christian Ages behind for good.
