...or incompetant? That's a question Hanna just asked of some church people. It's a good question...also good to ask Hanna and the other boys the same thing...for instance, are the boys honest when they say they believe in democracy, free speech and the rest of it? Do they seriously expect Muslims to protect THEIR right to free speech and protection of their minority status when they themselves can't extend the same to other Christians....in America?

Should Iraq have a password system, as beth does, before you can express yourself? Should Christians have to apply for a password from the Muslim government of Iraq before they can wear Western clothing or listen to American music? Must Christians in Iraq face the constant uncertainty of having their newsparers closed down because the government feels they are "embarrassing" Islam? Do the boys hate Islam any less then they claim I hate Christianity? Should they be allowed to express their hatred of Islam in IRAQ while I can't be critical of Christianity in AMERICA? Can the government shut down any printing presses that put out pamphlets about Simele?

Why can't the Muslim government of Iraq use the same rationale the boys do about not allowing "embarrassing" material...or things that make them "look bad" to be made public?...or merely things the government doesn't like or approve of to dictate their policy where minority or unpopular views are concerned?

Isn't Jassim's reason for removing posts from aina...or Firas' plaintive cry that he is forced by popular will to remove people, the same that Saddam used...or any other government of Iraq could use? What's the difference between one form of censorship and the other? Why...is Christian censorship any better than Muslim censorship? Are the boys only really complaining about their inability to impose their will against those whom THEY dislike? Do they value democracy only because they see it as the vehicle that should give them the means to become tyrants in their own right...even though still a minority?

Would a Triangle Christian part of Iraq be a place that welcomed free speech? Wouldn't the boys who governed Christlandia be as adamant that, as they are surrounded by hostile people, they too must impose unanimity of thought...that they MUST march in one direction in lock-step for "security"?

Are their actions in regards to honesty, free speech, tolerance, openess, transparancy and respect for contrary, especially, unpopular views any better than what they claim to have suffered under "evil" Islam?

Who is being corrupt...or dishonest or just plain incompetant when they declare a love of democracy etc? Is it the Muslims, who never thought in terms of free speech to begin with and who are behaving in accord with their totalitarian views or the Christian boys in the West who sing the praises of democracy and free speech but who are in reality hypocrites who yearn for nothing more than their own totalitarian state??
