...amazin...idn't it? I mean here they are again, wailing over the mud and stones of a long-ago ruined city...while Iraq BURNS all around us. It's a tribute to their myopic vision that they ONLY see Christian "suffering" and now, a tragedy only when "Assyrian" ruins are going to be ruined all over again.

...did these kids REALLY think any Christian in Iraq could benefit, or flourish, while everyone else and everything else around them was being killed and brutalized? How does that work...how can you be so blind?

...How can you think you will live on a cloud? How can you think you are a real Assyrian BECAUSE you are Christian...and if anyone else wants to be Assyrian, he or she too has to become Christian...for all practical purposes?

...I mean let's say Muslim Assyrians admit they are Assyrians first and foremost. They then call Ramadan an Assyrian event...the pilgrimage to Mecca "proof" of your Assyrianism...etc?

...why would they not be justified in doing so if the Christians among us are going to put thr world "Assyrian" on THEIR places of Christian worship...or point to Christian religious rituals, or the fact that they converted to a Jewish sect, as the criterion for being "Assyrian"?

..foolishness...all of it. It would be best to wipe out this nonsense and start again...especially as we've done nothing but lose and cost BetNahrain while these daffy ideas have been in place.
