...the postive asapects of Christianity were old news in the old world. There was love, kindness, self'sacrifice, honesty, virtue, decency etc well before Jesus was born. The Messiah does NOT bring these things into the world...the Messiah comes to SMITE the people who will not bend to yahwe. By Hebrew standards Jesus was NOT the Messiah...he pointedly refused to lead an uprising against Rome...even though the Jews had been scandalized for decades at having God´s annointed land ruled by Heathen Romans...I mean where WAS He!

Jesus tried something new..he counselled the Hebrews to be docile...to accept Roman rule...to give Caesar what he asked for...he didn´t condemn slavery or poverty...he said these things would always be with us. And he was right because the Jews lost every time they tried open rebellion. And when they refused to listen to him and kept on their rebellious ways, Rome foinally had enough and threw them all out of their promised sheepshit encrusted land.

The message of Jesus was NOT what the Hebrews wanted to hear...his followers were the meekest of the meek and THAT was the appeal of the religion to the Romans.

Paul Yonan asks why those fishermen would lie about seeing Jesus get up from the dead...why would they do it when all they got for thewir pains was persecution and for some crucifixion...for one thing they were fanatics....zealots. We see that often enough in the mindset of the MidEast....fer hevvin´s sake even Aprim considers himself a martyr...and look at how much we love to martyr our own...how appealling a cause is especially when it is hopeless. They also had a franchise to maintain...I mean what ELSE were they going to do_ Roman occupation was increasingly intolerable...the Romans even desecrated the Temple by placing statues of Roman gods there...as well as building a circus for gladiator games...Hebrews hadn´t much to live for before the Romans came...all that was left to them was to live in fear and poverty while watching their cutlure and religion dismantled...sort of like we expect the Palestinians and other Middle Easterners to just take and take and take American Imperial abuse...there comes a turning point when there is nothing left worth living for...so devoid of all you value as Life has you existence become.

Those fishermen had nothing to lose...their last personal belonging was the belief that Jesus rose from the dead...had they not told that story it would be the end of their movement...the very fact that they were made to suffer for saying such a ridiculous thing was the gamble needed to either convince you or lose you for good. They HAD to see him alive...so they robbed his grave themselves and claimed a miracle.

There were many Messiah pretenders in those days...only the followers of Jesus dared the ultimate deception...and they won the prize.

But for all of that...without the militaryt might of Rome the ¨wonderful message¨of Jesus would have been heard by very few and followed by even less. All you need do is contrast the history of the eastern Christian with the western Christian experience...the earliest Christians, all of them Jews...were sent packing along with the Jews in 70 AD. They settled in far more civilized pagan lands where they were tolerated but ignored. You know how they hate that...gradually they made a nuisance of themselves, as the record shows...and more than that they fought among themselves over achingly stupid fine points...nowhere, not in Persai, not in China not in Japan, not anywhere did this message of Jesus impress any but a handfull...for the rest of it their increasing numbers came from intermarriage...

If you figured a handfull of neo?jews fucking only each other for 2000 years you´d get the numbers of Christians in the MisEast today...never mind the church bullshit about MILLIONS of Christians and then millions more killed by Islam...never happened. People had no trouble resisting the message of Jesus..which was NOT about love and kindness but about getting the GOODS if you willingly accept the murder of an Innocent....that your own deceit and vice can be washed away through animal and them human sacrifice..this is a DISGUSTING sort of morality...never mind what kind of character it breeds...

How do we feel today about the ritual of scapegoating...would be sanguine and tolerant of a group of people who sinned as they wished 364 days of the year and on the last day took the lovliest baby goat they could find...ritually heaped their vice and sins on its unoffending head and then chased it out into the dessert to die by pelting it with sticks and stones...separating it from its mother....would Americans NOt think any people were savage beyond redemption if they did this with a PUPPY!

Yet what is the sacrifice of Jesus and the redemption of his followers but the same scapegoating..only with an innocent and pure human. We´re encouraged to heap our own crimes and vices on the back of this most sweet man...and turn him over to be whipped and scourged and then killed...so we can be CLEAN! How in hell´s name does THAT make you clean!!! It seems to me it adds the final stroke to your disreputable character...and look at what Christians are doing the world round...no sooner did they finish persecuting and murdering the Jews, whom they hounded for centuries, but they used the remnant to attack their next target religion with...and through all of this these disreputable criminals wail about how THEY are the put upon ones...how angry they are that the entire world does`´t accept their ¨rightness¨.

There is only one explanation for such behavior...Christians today, unknowingly, are getting back at those who escaped the rape they suffered when their ancestors were FORCED into Christ..not forced into kindness and love but forced into adopting this sort of morality that MAKES you an accessory to a crime...that makes you WANT to be a criminal...it´s like being forced to prostitute yourself....naturally you´re going to HATE all those who refused or escaped...there´s no other explanation for the violence that has been and is being done to the world in the name of Christ.

Christianity...it¨s very core principles...which are NOT love and kindness but a willingness to accept the gifts that ONLY come from human sacrifice...I mean REAL and bloody human sacrifice, especially of Innocents...is rotten and criminal to the core.
