...you know, considering that the people you want to keep in Iraq are surrounded by millions who more than "don't like them" but rob them and kill them too...I should think you could sip champagne for on night a year in a posh setting with someone you don't "like" without coming unglued.

...but, to show you my heart is in the right place, even though your heads aren't, I'm gonna help you raise money that night. I have a few friends left in Assyria and I'm bound to see some of them that night. Tell you what I'll do...while you're busy hustling up funds, including what you need to make up the shortfall you just gave yourselves, along with the black eye, I'll work the crowd for you, in my own way.

Now don't get heat stroke...I'll not interfere with your efforts in any way..in fact you won't even know I'm doing anything. There are people who would like to own a sculpture of mine, or buy another...and I'm sure they'll appreciate getting the tax write-off they don't get when they buy from me and I keep the dough. I'll offer them any piece I have, if they pledge to give the money to you.

You don't have to worry about me keeping the money..if I was going to do that I wouldn't be announcing this now...would I? besides, you know cash doesn't mean as much to me as it does to show you for what you are...so you know I won't cheat...I'll be THRILLED to announce how much I raised for you...

..no need to thank me. Oh...please don't seat me up front with the rich folk...I don't want to keep swivelling round to see the crowd...somewhere in back...in a corner near the bathroom would be best...I want to see Assyria fill up with piss and stamp its feet...afraid to go to take a leak even.
