...who needs facts, right? Here`s a concise description of the charge against Delay...

"DeLay, 58, was indicted on a single felony count of conspiring with two political associates — Ellis and John Colyandro — to violate state election law by using corporate donations illegally. Texas law prohibits use of corporate contributions to advocate the election or defeat of candidates."

...Texas law does not prohibit anyone from spending money "himself"...DeLay is not under indictment for "wriring the check himself"...he is under indictment for giving the money to be used illegally to INFLUENCE voters...as clealry spelled out in TEXAS, not "liberal" law...whoever accused Texas of being liberal? Such donations can ONLY be used for administrative purposes..like phone bills, rent, heat etc. at party offices.

...the grairs either lie knowingly or speak unwittingly...take your choice.
