Eavesdropping targets only al Qaeda: US official By Jackie Frank 2 hours, 11 minutes ago WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. domestic eavesdropping program targets only people suspected of ties to al Qaeda and there is no broad net cast over Americans' communications overseas, the architect of the effort said on Sunday. ...Nixon said the same thing. he yelped about national security till the courts forced him to turn over his tapes...then we found out that the "enemies" of America were the politicians, student leaders etc whom Nixon considered HIS personal enemies. Same with Bush...all the legal channels are in place for Bush to seek warrants either before or after, in order to spy on "enemies"...the very fact that he avoided following the Laws set in place proves these were NOT al qaida or any other "terrorist" cells he was spying on...they were and are Americans whom Bush sees as HIS enemies. --------------------- |
