...not much to see....walking along the historical distict I see the usual lovely old churches...and there in front of one of them is your standard issue, regulation statue showing your basic padre or priest, his gown flowing (and we wonder...)...and at his feet, kneeling in gratitude and supplication, is your just as basic native person....his arms clasped in adoration or, more likely, in terror at another helping of this religion of "Love" come from a shit encrusted hillside half-way round the world he never heard of.

Funny how things take on a diferent meaning once you stop reading Syriac manuscripts for a living. The Church presents itself as having brought the "message of Christ" to these benighted heathens who, until the priest stepped off the boat at the head of an army of murderous mercenaries and criminals, no doubt never heard of love...but spent his life abusing his parents and whipping his children. What incredible arrogance to claim to be the ones bringing "Love" to the rest of the world...when we all know the Spaniards brought murder and disease, rapine and theft on a scale only recently approached by what`s been stolen by these same Europeans going BACK to carry on what they do best under the cover of this god-bullshit of their`s.

More than likely the kneeling native is begging to be let off...spared any more torture and humiliation... and would the kind padre please take care of his babies who`ve been taken from him to be "educated" in the Mission, built over HIS stolen homeland where he must now toil day and night for the greater glory of the Church....was EVER a scam pulled off more beautifully?

..."Parhad...why do you hate God so"? That`s easy..."because he hates the rest of us so..." Let Him cut it out first...he knows damn well HE started it...damfool says so hisself.
