Re: interesting articles about the Church of the East Posted By: eishu: (208.186.187.143) Date: Sunday, 5 February 2006, at 6:47 p.m. In Response To: Re: interesting articles about the Church of the East (Ashur 1) Dear Ashur: The fact that the Assyrian catholic were given the name Chaldean a name that pretains to an ancient people to whom they are not related has created many problems. The Roman Catholic church has been promoting Members of the Chaldean church as Chaldeans and their language as Chaldiac. It is no wonder that even the writer of this article are confused about this subject. ...you can change that to read: "The fact the Christians of BetNahrain gave themselves a name that pertains to the ancient people to whom they are not related has created many problems" See? See how easy it is to see the truth if you`ll look EVERYWHERE? ...to continue: "The Church of The East has been promoting its members as Assyrians and their language as Syriac, or Assyrian, or Aramaic...take your choice. It is no wonder that even the writer of THIS article is confused about this subject." moral: You are not what you say you are simply because YOU say you are! It is no more absurd to claim to be Chaldean than to claim to be Assyrian. Neither group has ANY official papers or nuthin...and BOTH are merely Christian sects. End of miserable story. The only thing that counts is that this fanciful notion has led to REAL harm to the people and the land of BetNahrain (not to mention the dumb clucks who`ve been used by the church to save itself)..and that`s why it has to be laid to rest...because peace will never come so long as Christian has the LEAST excuse to kill Christian for the greater and truer glory of a Jew god. --------------------- |
