...but there's a greater liklihood that Aprim, Jassim, Jatou and a slew of other "Assyrians" were the Kurdish agents all along. During Sanctions the Kurds made the kinds of advances they'd been fighting for decades to achieve...made possible by the No-Fly zone imposed by the U.S. Saddam would never have allowed that...and the Kurds, with their new and hard-won position, were not going to give back a millimeter.

...with the start of the invasion, the Kurds only grew stronger...and we don't have to remind anyone of who was calling for that invasion...the same people who cheered the Sanctions...which began the process of handing over the north to the Kurds.

...we were opposed to the Sanctions and any other meddling with Iraq...had Saddam remained in power and had Iraq been allowed to go through its own political evolution, as America had gone through...the Kurds would never be where they are now...and neither would the Christians, who've been killed and chased out in far greater numbers, by Bush, than they ever were under Saddam.

Under Saddam these kids of ours, who insisted on preaching sedition, by CHOICE, found themselves unpopular with the government, as they would have been in any country they tried it in....but since Saddam , it isn't a matter of anything you do, if you're the most law-abiding Christian in the world...you will suffer, randomly. This random violence was missing in Iraq and has been brought there by, who else, Christians.

The way things have played out, which is really the only way they COULD have played out, anyone supporting the war against Iraq was favoring an atmosphere in which the Kurds could act without restraint, the restraint which Saddam imposed on them all those years. Therefore you could more easily call Aprim and Jatou and Jassim Kurdish agents for they supported those actions which in turn resulted in Kurdistan...not us.
