...not at all. There was plenty of money to build palaces before the Sanctions...and no children died from malnutrition. It was the United States who prodded the UN to go along with whatever it wanted to do...Iraq NEVER had any trouble feeding its people..in fact billions in reserves were seized by the United States...obviously Iraq was extrememly wealthy...the notion that Saddam was building palaces is a fiction dreamed up at neo-con headquarters to justify this unprecedented attack on children.
