HIS EMAILS AND THE TIME YOU SPEND ANSWERING HIM IS WASTED ENERGY. Better to engage someone who makes sense. SO MANY ON THE LEFT WING are splintered and of different minds re: strategy for Iraq and positioning toward Lebanon + Palestine. I think we should be engaging with other communities for many reasons. 1. acts of solidarity and embracing other communities 2. strategizing for actions and interactions of OUR OWN 3. building networks and coalitions so we can move toward REAL social change 4. building a movement even among assyrians, chaldeans, who are on the left 5. reaching out to other arabs--Christians, Muslims, secularists, whoever who ARE MORE IN ALIGNMENT WITH (not against!!) your political positions where do we begin to do this? Who is motivated to do this? why or why not? I'd love to have a conversation about these topics vs letting someone like Ken dictate the direction of the discourse! peace always, nayj --------------------- |
