What about THIS?

Now as you perhaps know jews have several organizations who collect money and help jews to resettle in Israel. I was just wondering why assyrians don't have any organization in this field. Do you think that it is out of the question due to the political circumstances in Assyria? What about helping assyrians of Georgia, Armenia and Iran to settle in Assyria? Do you think it could be done, keeping in mind how the situation is in Assyria (north Irak)..? plz give me your opinions on this, both negative and positive.

...no way. There's a good reason it hasn't happened and never will...if the Jews had ONE country in the world that would have taken them in...there never would have been a need for Israel. Christians can go to any of the modern nations of the world and in a genration or two blend in...they are only "persecuted" in Muslim countries..whereas Jews were persecuted almost everywhere BUT Muslim countries...for Jews, who kept their faith, there was no place to escape to...therefore after the Second World War they had every incentive to work for a homeland...not because they wanted to but because Christians made it imperative...left to themselves not a single Jew would have opted to leave Western Europe for Palestine...they were free to visit, to build summer homes..but not a one of them ever dreamed of living there.

Assyrian Christians are in a very different position...as we can see by what Firas and Jassim and any number of Assyrians have done...rather than FIGHT....they simply moved to Christian countries where they have been free to be "Christian" or "Assyrian". Jews had no such luxury...not even when they converted to Christianity were Jews spared...by contrast Chaldeans and Assyrians can move to America or Europe and in only a couple of genrations take on a completely new coloring...while remaining Christian AND "Assyrian" or "Chaldean"...they can name their children Jennifer and Scott, Brad and Ashley and they can blend right in...and since San Diego and Chicago aren't exactly Mosul or Baghdad even..they can get all the benefits of living in the belly of the whale...only a few years like that and not a one of them seriously wants to return..just as the Jews freed by Cyrus didn't long to return to Jerusalem but chose to remain and prosper in the New York and Paris of its day: Babylon.

Jews and Assyrians really have nothing in common...nothing pertaining to their status in the world today...Jews remained faithful...Assyrians broke faith...that's the essential difference.
