..the Christians among us like to brag about the monks walked to China and Japan and India "spreading" thje wonderful news about a Jew carpenter. They cite that as their contribution to world culture while the Muslims Assyrians were building yet another great civilization..the Great Islamic Empire which owed its greatness to us...to BetNahrain and Persia. The boys say Christians were massacred and forced to convert or else there would be MILLIONS of us in BetNahrain..instead of the small numbers getting even smaller as they are driven out or killed by yet another Crusade. If that was true then how to account for the fact that in China and Japan where NO ONE massacred or forced those wandering Christians to convert or die and with full freedem, granted to them by the far more tolerant pagans, to preach, screetch and kvetch...they were never able to attract "millions and millions"...not in 1000 years? How come? To hear the boys tell it, if you don't interfere with them, they will inspire millions and millions to leave their own, well established and cherished traditions and cultures to join their's (which might as well have come from Mars as from a place called Jerusalem)..like they like to claim the Assyrians forsook Ashur for that putz, yahwe, at the mere telling of the story of Jesus. Well how come the Chinese and Japanese didn't convert...en masse? How come the Assyrians did? Why didn't the Aztecs, Inca, Maya, Africans and eveyone else who came into bloody contact with this bloody religion, LEAP at the chance of converting, but rather run as fast as they could...leaving their children behind, or having them stolen from them, to be "saved" by being "raised" Christian? --------------------- |
