ADM does not have a fully-fledged nationalistic ideology, but it certainly does have a working framework for one. If so, what are the most salient principles of this ideology?

...I'm sorry...but when claiming to be tackling serious issues seriosuly...it would be a good idea to not speak with forked tongue...in the above statement the author starts out saying ADM "does not' have an ideology...and ends a few words later, by asking what are the "most salient" principles OF that non-ideology...that they don't have. If they DON'T have it...how can anything about it BE anything?

They don't have it to begin with for there to be anything SALIENT about it!...remember???

..that's fine...but by "we" you can't mean modern day Christians alone...for none of these ancients WERE Christians...remember? if by "we" you mean all the people of BetNahrain today, regardless of religion or who they marry and what language they speak and who they pray to...okay.

2. We are builders of an ancient civilization which empowered us to lend some of its fruits to other neighboring peoples including Greeks, Persians and Arabs who all borrowed our alphabet the most efficient tool of human literacy.

...YOU, are not the "we" in that statement. YOU are the Christians who allied yourselves with every passing Christian nation that made promises to you the night before it climbed into your pants and then lost respect for you next morning...as such "you" haven't built ANYTHING, except a well deserved reputation for treachery and sleaze.

3. We established our civilization using Akkadian (Assyrian and Babylonian) language and extended it after the downfall of Assyrian and Babylonia through Aramaic until this very day.

...YOU did none of that...YOU can't even manage to get a monument installed in YOUR city...even after it was made and paid for and accepted...

4. We are the first Christians and our Aramaic language is the native language of Christianity prior to Greek and Latin. We are, therefore, Christians before we became “Nestorians”, Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Catholic and Protestants.

...yes indeed...now you got the right "we"...you are CHRISTIANS...and had the ancients you are now bragging about also been Christians, then THEY would have built nothing either!!! Thank Ashur they were NOT Christians!

5. We aspire the Unity of all Aramaic (Syriac) speakers of today including Chaldeans, Assyrians and Suryanis. Our Unity is the corner stone of our survival and success now and in future..

...that is highly questionable...I don't know about what you'd do with unity, if you ever had any...I know TRYING for it and TALKING about it is driving you all nuts! It's even threatening to give you ANOTHER religious splinter sect!

6. We believe that Nation (Umta) is the highest political institution throughout our history and the Church (‘Eeta) is a major pillar of it

...sounds nice...means absolutey nothing...as we can see.

7. We call for the recognition of our national identity as a People in modern Iraq on historical, civilizational and democratic premises not as a charity bestowed upon us by others.

...well just whom are you CALLING on then? If you're calling for it...you must be dialing SOMEBODY. In this case your 'we" is absurd...no Christian party of Assyrians has ANY rights over the majority of the MUSLIM Assyrian Descendants in Iraq...none at all.

8. We live all over Iraq and not just in the Kurdish Region. We appreciate our cordial and friendly relationships with all nationalities including Arabs and Kurds, but we reject being a subordinate or satellite of other nationalities. We have always been reliable friends and allies with those who put their trust in us.

...THAT is a crock of shit! King Faeisal of Iraq welcomed all Assyrian refugees running out of Iran..chased out by other MUSLIMS...and to repay Iraq's generosity your Levies allied themselves with the British who were attacking Iraq. "Reject" things all you want to...so what?

9. We reject being recognized only as a Christian minority which implies the treatment of our People as Ahlu Al-Thimma (??? ??????).

...Is Dr Donny George treated as an inferior Iraqi? Was my father discriminated against when he was made director of the Health Department for a Muslim country? Christians in Iraq had the same freedoms and liabilities too as other Iraqis...as wirnessed by the fact that thousands have chosen to STATY there and would be there now if Christians had not AGAIN used them in their attack on their country. You have NO right, Christian or otherwise, to preach sedition.

10. We are part of the National Mosaic of Iraq and we are proud of our Iraqiness; we, therefore, should enjoy all political, administrative, educational, religious privileges.

...and you do and you did...however...America, your Christian ally and great friend, saw fit to hand Iraq over to the Shiite extremists, something Saddam fought valiantly to AVOID...plus which they gave over your triangle to the Kurds so they can make it Kurdistan, also something Saddam kept from happening all these years...I realize you "REJECT" all of these and this wasn't the way it was supposed to turn out, but you ACCEPTED America's promises, so live with it...even though you had ample examples from your recent past...but that's the way it is now...you have the right any citizen in a democracy has who OBEYS the rule of the majority..and thanks to America that majority is now Shiite..and if you don't obey THEIR laws...you will be a criminal again.

11. We should have a representation in any democratic government in Iraq, a reality that is compatible with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

...you will get whatever the majority Shiites allow you. No Afro-American got any representation WITHOUT getting representatives elected...good luck on same.

If the above are some of the most salient principles of ADM’s ideology, then one has to ask what the strategy is, if there is one, to put the ideology into action.

...I thought you said they had NO ideology? They have a strategy too...for NO ideology? It seesm the lack of substance is barely a minor hindrance to such a great we.
