...just as in Vietnam, the Americans left who insist on staying the course in Iraq are only doing so because they can't bear to admit it was all a mistake to begin with. They know damn well there's no winning such a war...knew it when the insurgency appeared right about the NEXT DAY!

...What they are doing is wiping from their minds all the Americans killed so far...and not until the same number are killed, will they begin to feel it's indeed time to get out. Don't ask me how or why but that's the formula it will take.
