...it must seem odd to hear someone like me, who appears on the surface to have been heavily involved in "being Assyrian", now say there is no such thing. This has made it difficult to write me off as either an Assyrian "hater" or an Assyrian "user"...one who uses the Assyrian name for his own profit.

...How can you call me "anti-Assyrian" when I´ve built the first Assyrian public monument anywhere in the world in the last 2500 years? That´s a little hard to rationalize. How can I be an enemy, or "enema", of the Assyrian Heritage when I´ve made so many Assyrian sculptures? Was I wrong all those years? Was I joking? Was a foreign spy...an agent?

..as tempting as it is to say that I did it all to make money...you only have to ask yourself if YOU would ever dream up such a dopey get-rich scam yourself...and pursue it for 27 years. It´s only because, after years of hard work...most of it unpaid..that some money came along to fund projects...but that was all...there was no profit. Are you kidding? I wound up broke after each monument project..plus which it was MY money that funded them...through the sale of models and other sculptures...only IBM and Helen Nimrod "gave" money, with no strings attached, except that I do what I said I would.

But surely, no one would start out to support an Assyrian family by making Assyrian sculpture, marketed at ASSYRIANS! Are you kidding me! It´s hard enough being a sculptor and getting into galleries etc...where the entire world is your potential customer...but for ASSYRIANS?

The point is, as soon as you outgrow your diaspora and begin to realize what this "We Christians are the only real and true Assyrians because we are CHRISTIANS", has cost ALL of the people of BetNahrain, the sooner you want to kill the idea dead once and for all.

It´s been USED by the church and church fanatics as a weapon against Islam and Muhammad...pissed at them all because they "stole" the MidEast fom Jesus...that´s what they really mean when they say we "lost our country" etc. They mean the country when it was CHRISTIAN. Had England taken over BetNahrain they never would have complained...as they don´t now when the Brits kill Christian children in this Christian Jihad of their´s.

It´s insane to continue this charade... for one reason because it makes those who believe it into willing tools of any Christian nation that wants to attack or abuse that region...which only backfires even more...only the silly fools NEVER figure out that it is their treachery the Muslims repay...not their religion and certainly not the Assyrian heritage..which every Iraq knows is his and her´s as well.

It´s religious bigotry that I´m against...and nowhere is it stronger or more engrained than with these "we are Assyrians because we are Christians" people.
