...okay boys and girls...we`ve learned that there was kindness and love and generosity and self-sacrifice and Law and honesty and friendship and loyalty and all the rest of it in Assyria and elsewhere long before Mary told that whopper to Joseph...the sorriest cluck in history.

Jesus had nothing to teach anyone in Betnahrain...not a thing. It was the Hebrews, his own people, who needed lessons in everything you can think of.

The ONLY thing Jesus brought was the suggestion that if you believed in HIM and his teachings...normal stuff in Nineveh but news in Jerusalem, you`d get to go live on a cloud with him...except he didn`t even say that...but let that go...he also supposedly said if you ate his body and drank his blood, just kidding of course, you`d get into paradise...and WHAT a paradise...all this hullaballoo and not a single believer has the foggiest idea what`s in it...but let`s not get hung up on details.

so, as you can see, boys and girls...the "message" of Jesus is that you can live forever in a heaven no one knows anything about...is it any wonder then no one wanted this "message"? Especially not in BetNahrain. Not even in dusty and diseased Jerusalem did many Jews fall for it...which is the reason Christiana have been murdering them for centuries.

The message turnes out to be a personal one..."if you believe this...I`ve got a bridge", which, although it is sarcastic, goes a long way in explaining why these boys are SUCH shmucks that they can`t talk without grabbing for your crotch.

There`s absolutely nothing to the "message" of Jesus...everything he suggested as a good way to live and treat people was common knowledge in Nineveh...but it WAS new to the Hebrews..it was something they`d never heard of before...maybe.

end of sermon.
