...that these fervent "Assyrians" are full of bilgewater comes when you try to corner one of them in a serious discussion of what THEY claim are their "firm believes". Turns out they act very much like people whose "believes" are anything BUT firm...rather built on Jell-O instead. The slightest push sends them jiggering and bobbing over the edge.

Take the staunchest "Assyrian" and give him a good going-over, intellectually. If you can nail his feet to the ground and hold onto him long enough, I swear he or she will burst into tears, like a child whose favorite toy has been snatched from them.

People like Aprim or Firas and Peter and so many others always side-step thorough examination by claiming they are "too busy" to "waste their time". But you know that`s a sham because you see them wasting so MUCH time repeating endlessly. Also by the way they rush to delete and ban anything that gives them slightest ill ease...addmitting to all but their closest allies-in-fear that they simply are not up to defending or explaining their wild claims of Assyrian descent. They wish merely to be believed because they SAY SO. A point of view they will NOT allow the Chaldeans.

Why they wouldn`t want to venture out on new ground, if just out of sheer boredom, or maybe to test their convictions under real pressure...doesn`t speak well of their claims that they are REAL Assyrians...heroes and warriors all. If for no other reason than to be well assured that their arguments actually do hold spit if they should ever dare go up against serious opposition...like in front of this "wurld" they feel so certain will pet and stroke them. If you`re clamoring for a match with a heavy-weight boxer it makes no sense to prepare for your big moment by shadow-boxing in your mother`s living room.

There are some of us who have tried repeatedly to take any one or number of them...on any conditions so long as they will allow the simple courtesy of allowing all sides to be heard...that`s all we ask. But all they will allow is that the deck must be stacked heavily in their favor ahead of time...and that they have sole discretion as to what can be allowed to stand. Their very insecurity and unfairness gives them the lie in their throats. I don`t have deny their Assyrian heritage...they do it for me.

It just doesn`t wash.
