I agree, so long as we understand what constitutes the "welfare of this nation". I don't know about the nation...I only know the children and our children haven't a single thing in the modern world to make them proud of their heritage...not one.

I don't mean things INSIDE...things no one else ever hears of...I mean things OUTSIDE, so they can hold their heads up among their peers...all we have is the church and even that isn't any big deal here in the Christian west...I am not insulting our churches, I'm just saying that when EVERYBODY is Christian and they are so much wealthier and better established than our churches are, we are all of a sudden robbed of what we thought was our greatest distinguishing characteristic...when we were surrounded by Muslims.

So, what do our children have? It's for this reason that I say we must focus more on getting our message OUT THERE..and I don't mean the message that we have been murdered and butchered...that's like only talking about all the Assyrians who flunked out of high school without mentioning all the Assyrian doctors we've produced, or inventors etc.

One thing more: if your thrust is anywhere near to what I have suggested, that is: if you want OUTSIDERS to sit up and take notice, then you CANNOT be expected to bow your head and bend your knee and be everlastingly polite to a John Nimrod or any of the leaders who place themselves above us when THEY tell me how I should behave...because I have to go to New York and Los Angeles and Paris and I have to deal there with Jews, Armenians, Germans and all sorts of people who could give a damn how polite I am..or what I "deserve"...they'll push me out of the way...seek to destroy my self-confidence etc because the competition is FIERCE...out there.

For your own sakes, learn to allow our Assyrians the greatest possible lattitude in what they can say and how they can say it...instead of making them "nice"...allow then, encourage them, to become EFFECTIVE..to be able to deal with ANYTHING from ANYONE under ANY circumstances...don't clip their wings and tape their mouths shut as a pre-requisite for being heard by their OWN people...don't send them into the world unprepared because of a lack of practise at dealing with any sort of challenge or confrontation that might come along..if you can do that, then you won't have to hear about them leaving to go to work for Jews or Armenians or Germans or anyone else...you'll have given them the practise, the chance, the growth opportunity to test themselves against US, their own people...then and only then will they be able to hold their own against people well versed in fighting for their just demands...I said FIGHTING...not just asking.
