...if you wanted to really be kind and make allowances for this statement, you might think it refers to a different bull...and that the owner of these goring bulls...who lost his first goring bull...actually had another bull that got out and "gored" for the second time..meaning a second BULL...not the same bull, goring twice.

...But if that was so...these two "scholars" who both teach at university, plus their editors would surely have written this sentence to make the point abundantly clear...because to leave it as it is makes the whole paragraph foolish. But perhaps they were counting on how few Assyrians there really are left in the world.

..This silly, silly book is shot through with just such balderdash...and it isn`t the only one...there has been an entire industry dedicated to building up the Jews while denigrating the people of BethNahrain..something Christians have lent their backsides to.

..I don`t fault the Jews at all..no more than I would the Jewish mother who entered a hall where an Egyptian, a Babylonian, a Chaldean, a Greek, a Persian and an Assyrian mother were seated with THEIR respective offspring...a Jewish mother loves her child as much as an Egyptian or Assyrian mother does...pity the poor woman, then, when she`s confronted by the well proportioned, intelligent, talented and CAPABLE children of the other mothers...while the Jewish Mom can`t help but see the buck teeth, the boney arms, stubby legs, crossed eyes and what not of her own kid...NATURALLY she`s going to compensate..and then OVER compensate.

...let`s be kind and understanding, by all means...let`s not laugh when the Jewish mother brings in her pigeon toed darling...but for Ashur`s sake let`s not tear down our OWN strapping youths to make way for the challenged but loving mother of a very challenged son.

..give to each person their due...no more, no less.
