...he told his mother he wanted to be like Paul McCartney when he grew up...thrilled, Mama grair bought him three pianos and paid for piano lessons....little grair went the first day but refused to attened from then on, saying it was "too hard". He insisted on banging on the keys anyway and his adoring family of grairs all cheered him on...by the time he was 18 he was terrible....but his family said they loved him and to them he was a national star...the trouble began when they booked a hall for his first performance...they sold him as a prodigy...they reminded everyone of all he had suffered on hearing about Simele on an outing to Disney World..."he cried for days", his tearful mother recounted..."he wasn't able to finish his birthday cake he was so upset at what the Muslims did to Assyrians".

A good crowd turned out for his first concert...mostly made of 508 people. He played brilliantly that night, for the first time, or so the people said when they awoke. "And even if it was a bit rough", said another grair, "you have to admit he's a descendant of the glorious Assyrian Empire and we would be remiss in our duty to the glory of Assyria if we didn't appluad him anyway".

Fired up with the excellent reviews he received in Zinda Magazine, grair sent a letter off to Carnegie Hall with an ultra-fine sound recording, including the applause of his family...as well as reviews from Assyrian-Swedish journalists...that was last year and he expects to hear from Carnegie Hall any day now...his family is making travel plans and everyone is anticpating a great touring season.

"After all", said a beaming mama grair, "it just shows what we Assyrians are made of when you think how little practise my son needed to get this far".
