A unique American original...scientist, inventor social gadfly and astute observer...died a few years ago. His insights into American corporations and the threat they pose to everything human is laid out in one of his last books, “Grunch of Giants”. Discussing the behind-the-scenes manipulation of American society he has this to say....quoting president of Yale University A. Bartlett Giamatti in 1981...when Regan was in office...

“He said that the Moral Majority and other ‘conservative’ groups are ‘shredding the spiritual fabric of our society’ and are ‘intent on destroying diversity of opinion...They threaten through political pressure or public denunciation whoever dares to disagree with their authoritarian positions...They would sweep before them anyone who holds a different opinion’. Giamatti further criticized the ‘peddlers of coercion’ for pressing uncompromising attitudes that are ‘dangerous malicious nonsense’ and as being advocates of ‘polyester mysticism’. With a goal to ‘divide in the name of patriotism...They have licensed a new meanness of spirit in our land, a resurgent bigotry that manifests itself in racist and discriminatory postures.’”

Remember that the Born-Again Fanatic Fundamentalist method is to accuse their enemies of using what are their own tactics...this so maddens and befuddles Liberals that they actually waste time trying to defend themselves instead of exposing the fanatic conservatives. Neo-Cons accuse what they call “cultural humanists” of “trying to stamp out all religion and dissent” while “promoting their own ‘religion’”...they accuse liberals of having a monolithic liberal media when they’ve bought up the media and expanded its control and turned it into a conservative farce and advertising for their point of view...they accuse liberals of having their own “religion”, which they don’t mind pushing with federal dollars...even while that nasty old Constitution “denies them their equal-Christian rights to federal dollars”...they are the ones with a narrow political agenda so they accuse liberals of the same thing....they claim liberals are “stuffing their beliefs” down the throat of innocent children, when they’re the ones doing it....and it goes on and on.

I’m not sure if it was Yale or Harvard...Yale, I think that hired a hack to be its president after Giamatti...over the loud objections of the faculty and students, but to the delight of the Board. The guy was eventually fired but not before he accomplished his mission...which was to force the “dangerous” professors to leave in disgust....same thing Reagan did when he was governor of California by chasing away the best and brightest U.C. Berkeley professors...many of them Nobel laureates and well respected authors...they too fled the repressive regime. At that time U.C Berkeley was one of the best universities in the world...certainly in America. And that was its danger to the neo-con coup.

None of it was accidental.
