I can fairly say at this point that everything I was taught and everything I read from my "assyrian authors and historians" were all lies. Everything from the story of the woman with 7 sons who were all being slaughtered in front of her because of her refusal to reject Jesus, to Badr Khan, the genocide, forced conversions, and every other myth. But the hardest one on me was the Badr Khan story. I truly believed in all sincerity that this Kurd really hated Assyrians and Christians. I believed this for the longest until very recently I came to learn that even he was not fighting them because of their Christian faith nor because they were "assyrians" but it was due to their actions since the 1830s. The Syriac Christians were a bridge or better said agents for the western powers. The western powers didn't have the testicles to approach the Turks or Kurds with that "Jesus loves you" junk or the "eat his flesh and drink his blood" crap because they knew better so they thought they'll send us in since we would do it. If we failed, hey it be our asses not theirs. So even Badr Khan was not anti-Christian or anti-Assyrian but was actually fighting them for what they were doing.

In Fred Aprim's recent "book", he mentions about Badr Khan again and one does not have to be a historian to be able to notice that his "book" lacks all kinds of truths and is based on nothing more than his own prejudices. If our ancastors were indeed a tiny minority surrounded by barbaric blood drinking Muslims as we are told, it would have been impossible for them to have survived for 1,400 years. This is why they like us to believe they are so special and unique because their survival was a miracle and they hid in the mountains of Hakkari, but they fail to realize the majority of Christians and Syriacs did not live in mountains, yet survived just fine. Many accepted Islam by choice in the first 2 centuries(7th to 9th) and others remained Christians and lived just fine, yet, in fact, even prospered well.

They are full of crap and their entire "history" is fabricated and that is why they have to make excuses to justify their failures.
