...for the umpteenth time: the death, even by murder, of Armenians was NOT a genocide...it meets none of the accepted definitions of a genocide....and this is what irks Christians.

If the Turks had the long tradition, over a thousand years old, of persceuting and murdering and robbing Armenians, as the Christians had of doing the same to Jews, then you could say what happened in WW I was the logical culmination of centuries of hate and persecution and murder...but it WASN'T.

The Holocaust was a natural outcome of centuries of equal behavior by Christians towards Jews, only the scale and mechanisms were different but at its core, the Holocaust was business as usual for Christians....

This was not at all the case in Ottoman lands...of course there had been conflicts, but nothing even approaching the Thirty Years War during which Christians fought each other and decimated European towns and populations...nothing like.

For the Ottomans to have all of a sudden behaved so differently from anything similar means something else, something extraordinary took place...it was NOT business as usual for Turks to persecute either Jews or Christians...so, what happened? It could be that Christians nations who declared their intention to strip the Sultan of land and resources, such as the same oil these bastards are STILL murdering innocent people for, plus missionary intrigue, led the Turks to forcibly remove all Christians from their borders, for obvious security concerns...and unlike the Christians who went looking for any DROP of Jewish blood in whatever hole where people were hiding, the Turks did not molest those Christians living in major cities or away from the borders.

No, Christian deaths were a tragedy of the war, a war brought to Turkey by Christian nations in which many hundreds of thousands of Muslims also perished from disease and starvation. No one went seeking out Christians JUST because they were Christians...Turks had never done such a thign whereas Christians were famous for hunting down and murdering even those they had FORCED to become Christian, which is what the Inquisition was set up for and through which countless Jews were murdered, legally AND morally too.
