...I guess after the blood has cooled and the head softened she found herself able to bear up under the strain of reading a actual history book that deals with assyrians and their existence...but, of course, she got it all wrong....she'ss elected those portions which paraphrase and quote sections of a report issued by a commission set up after WW I to figure out what to do with these assyrians...she makes a side-not that although Joseph and others call these people Nestorians (including themselves) the commission report calls them ASSYRIANS...which proves, exactly what? But anyway....to continue.

“It is not within our competence to enumerate all the conditions which would have to be imposed on the sovereign State for the protection of these minorities. We feel it’ our duty, however, to point out that THE ASSYRIANS SHOULD BE GUARANTEED THE RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ANCIENT PRIVILEGES WHICH THEY POSSESSED IN PRACTICE, IF NOT OFFICIALLY, BEFORE THE WAR. WHICHEVER MAYBE THE SOVEREIGN STATE, IT OUGHT TO GRANT THESE ASSYRIANS A CERTAIN LOCAL AUTONOMY, RECOGNIZING THEIR RIGHT TO APPOINT THEIR OWN OFFICIALS.

...okay, this is a British document...what they decide to call Nestorians is just what they decide to call them, call them Assyrians, call them Chaldeans, call them Mesopotamians, it doesn't MAKE them whatever the British call them...plus which it was the Brits, the Archbishop of Canterbury specifically who invented the term "Assyrian" for these Nestorians, as a way of weaning them away from the heretical name of Nestorious...in other places Maggie condemns the Brits loudly, but let them stoke her balls just once, and she's their's.

Then there's the question of just what these rights and privileges were before the war...we all know you can't unbreak glass...the millet system was gone forever, destroyed by foreign Christians....and which assyrians are we talking about...the ones who were part of Iraq all along or the ones who were forced to run from Turkey and Persia because they took arms against their own governments and for the Brits? Of course, the Brits would LIKE to leave the Iraqis saddled with this problem they helped create...but that places no obligation on Iraq...furthermore the assyrians ahd again betrayed a country, their new home of Iraq, by taking British pay and arms and serving as a colonial police force shooting and killing native Iraqis...people of such a degree of ingratitude and plain stupidity deserve no special anything...they're lucky NOT to be persecuted!

“ALL THE CHRISTIANS AND THE YEZIDI SHOULD BE ASSURED OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND THE RIGHT OF OPENING SCHOOLS…..”

....a friend recently told me that assyrians were pissed at the Qurdish government because they refused to allocate $200,000 to bus assyrian students to their assyrian schools...the official said, "Why should we pay for your children to attend your schools when we have national schools they could go to, along with the rest of the children"? In other words, why should the Qurds PAY to keep assyrian children steeped in these myths?

...when we move to England don;t we want our kids to assimilate as fast as possible so they can get ahead...what good is Aramaic going to do anyone who graduates having taken all his advanced engineering courses in ARAMAIC? Where is he going to work? If it's a matter of retaining the mother tongue and culture, no schools are necessary for this...assyrian parents hve been doing this for centuries....our children in Qurdistan must learn to succed IN Qurdistan, unless they want to leave...and, if they leave, you can bet they'll try to fit in and blend and get along more than they ever tried in Iraq.

..It's only Maggie and her Maggots who are promoting this need for an Assyria of their own....mostly because there is nothing special about them in a land brimming with Christians and ethnic minorities...so they appoint themselves "guardians" of Assyria and clamor for a place of their own in order to "save" assyrianism...but assyrian culture is dying outside of Iraq, as it should....it has no place in the moderne ra...no need to worry about the Aramaic language being lost, it is preserved for all time...students and professors are learning to speak it...so it won't die out...as for assyrian culture, what is it but Christianity?...and that's safe for the forseeable future.

..only inside Iraq was the tradiiton being maintained and it was safe there, there where every kid knew how to read, write and speak Aramaic...it was safe until these same assholes decided they need a country of their own and started practicing sedition, for which they, and everyone else, paid the price ALL who play at sedition pay.

Christians in Iraq will NEVER again enjoy any kind of autonomy...and just as much as America during its early centuries tried to mold disparate peoples from all parts of the world into AMERICANS...using melting pot or injection mold..so too does Qurdistan have every motive and historical precedent to try to forge ONE people...or there will never be peace....especially as we have all seen how this assyrianism bullshit has moved some people to treason and sedition, even to wishing death and destruction on Iraq if it won;t be THEIRS.
