Do you also know that these nationalists protest because the Iraqi government does not call them "Ashuri" but rather "Athuri" and they want to be acknowledged as "Ashuris" yet they themselves don't even use that name. So I am glad to know that the Iraqi govt is not so naive and stupid but is aware of their tricks. It must be really embarrassing for some of them when their "heroes" cry like whimps to the western nations, complain about persecution and the rest of Iraqis hear of that and know damn well that they are not persecuted. They are so desperate to reach their goals that they'll try anything no matter how low or shameful. Their "nation" hasn't gotten far after almost 90 years and I don't see them going anywhere except down the toilet where it belongs. From the start, their whole "nation" propaganda has been set up as a racist Christian thing against Islam and Muslims; while not having anything to do with being ancient Assyrian or anything else. They thought to be clever by accepting this name and using this to get a future land the very cheap and dirty way.

I use to wonder why there are no TV shows about the modern Assyrians since it is a miracle that we are still alive and existing. Just like the rest of them, I thought everyone knew of us but was jealous and it was all the Jews I use to blame but now I learned that they are nothing special and that is why no historian is interested in them anymore. The real world doesn't take them serious because they know how silly it is and the stupid Brits who invented them know this as well or else they wouldn't be so silent.
