That's very true and there is a lot of evidence for this claim. Nobody serious has ever suggested Arabs suddenly just arrived to the scene after Muhammad except Assyrians and maybe the dumb white Christian missionaries who don't give a fuck anyway besides trying to convert people. Only silly Assyrian nationalists make such claims. Of course there were Arabs there, and so were many other people. Mesopotamia was a melting pot after all so why wouldn't Arabs live there as well. There were Arabs all the way in northern Syria along with Arameans and long before Islam many Aramean speaking people could also speak Arabic. Our nationalists think if they say Arabs came after Islam, they can pretend to be natives all alone and others must leave. Of course this wouldn't be an issue if Arabs were Christians, but most aren't so this is a problem for Assyrians.

Nobody takes this claim serious anyway. The ancient Chaldeans are believed to have been Arabs anyway and one can see that from their names and tribes. There were and are hundreds of Arab tribes and why wouldn't some live in Mesopotamia. Was there some kind of immigration and customs that forbade people from migrating to Mesopotamia? Modern nationalist are stupid and think the ancients were that dumb as well. Back then there was no Christianity or Islam so there wouldn't be this bigotry that exists today among modern Christians from Middle East. Arabs were there too and even if they weren't just for sake of argument, they have been there for at least 1,400 years so that makes them indigenous according to international standards. If they want to get this technical, most of these Nestorians were living in Turkey until after ww1 so thay makes them not even legit since they haven't been there 400 years yet.

This is silly by them but what can one expect from a people who want to be white, have a white man religion and hide behind a name for political reasons. Today a true Assyrian isn't one who speaks Akkadian but one who has tattoos of crucifix on his body and who is a Christian fanatic. That makes them "patriotic" and a good boy. There is nothing Assyrian about them except they claim a name. They hate Iraq(mesopotami) and have taken every chance to betray it every time an invader came. We see Arabs and Muslims fighting for Mesopotamia today and for last 1000 years while the heroes always run to California and issue statements and make claims from under theirs beds.
