"A shame really....I find it hard to believe he did it for the money because he could earn money any number of legal ways...I have to believe he sincerely wanted to get Assyrians into the country, which is commendable. Perhaps without the lies and perjury there could have been another way....

"I can easily forgive his lying to get people in...but not his slandering of Iraqi Muslims in order to gin up sympathy and pity...we do too much of that, too much of making ourselves abject objects of pity....like our only hope is in getting people to feel sorry for us."


-- Why did he not argue the truth and say that each time a Christian nation attacks a Muslim-majority country that has a Christian minority residing within it, then it puts the lives of those Christians in jeopardy. Why not remind the judge, the jury and the court about what happened to U.S.-born Japanese citizens after Pearl Harbor?


p.s. I was "puzzled" about what the man wrote about the Copts and Maronite... not Assyrians.
