But in Iran, my brother and I went to a Swiss/Iranian school called Iran/Swiss. We were the only Christians among upper class wealthy Muslim kids whose parents were connected to the Shah and his circle. The embarrassing thing was that we were poor, and the start of each semester my father had to show up and verbally hustle the administration about paying them "tomorrow". My parents pulled us out when a fedayeen fighter came into my 2nd grade class and showed us how to take an Uzi submachine gun apart and put it back together again. --------------------- |
