Yeah, I too like Nader and Kucinich. I also like C.Mckinney who was (I don't know if you heard) among one of the targets to be assassinated by a Georgia militia, who's member was arrested last week, and a list of targets was found on his property in addition to weapons and 30,000 rounds of ammunition.

The Independent Bernnie Sanders is also decent. He claims to be a socialist. I don't know how true that is. I did read a rather negative piece about him in which the writer who was from Sanders' home state was claiming that he'd taken moneys from various coroporations and arms manufacturers. The writer was basically pointing out the hypocrisy is Sanders' "socialism". But aside from that, he was the only senator that attempted to fillibuster a recent bill (don't know which one) where he was speaking non-stop for about 8 hours or more on the Floor.

If Ron Paul's envisioned domestic policies were more humane, I'd even vote for him. But they're not. He comes from the Libertarian American tradition, a form of right-wing individualistic Anarchism (most of it influenced by the philosophy of Ayn Rand), contrary to Chomsky's left-wing Anarcho-Syndicalism, which, among other things, focuses on a highly organized society based on a federation of unions, in which people join together without coercion, based on free association and mutual interest, also known as Libertarian Socialism.

Believe it or not, this movement was growing in the US in the late 19th century and early 20th century, and propelled the labor movement to progress as it did, with labor laws, 8 hr work day, end to child labor, etc. But it was crushed by the forces of Big Business.

If you read about the Spanish Anarchists of the Spanish Civil War, you'll get an idea of Chomsky's phylosophy. They were also defeated by the combined force of Russian Communists, Italian and German Fascists and Wester Liberal Democracies. Some historians point out that WWII started with the civil war in Spain, in 1936.

Back to Ron Paul: I like how he made the rest of the Repub.s look blood thirsty when he said that waterboarding IS torture and that we should not torture anyone.
