Even the Iranians have a "security network" (as defined by the author of the article) known as SEPA or Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) who'd like nothing more than to get a piece of the action and become part of the global military-industrial complex and have a seat at the table next to their Israeli and American counterparts on the boards of Boeing and Raytheon. A few days ago I read a piece on Rouhani, Iran's new president, and the writer of the piece was saying that the new president and his cabinet are trying to implement an Iranian-style neoliberalism, which means only one thing: privatization and opening Iran's markets to western dollars.
