everytime there is a mention of Hitler or Mussolini or the Nazis or Fascism people immediately picture those particulars...they think only of Blackshirts or goosesteps or Chaplin mustachios....that's like whenever you think of taking a drive in your car you imagine it to be a 1929 Ford.

That was THEN...this is NOW. That smoke-belching car, or dictator, no longer runs, it barely even exists....cars have changed, they have improved, they don't look, or sound, or even smell anything like they used to in them old days....same with Fascism and Fascists.

No, Trump isn't Mussolini, or Hitler...but as the article pointed out, many more millions have been killed and lives shattered to support a whole new kind of Fascist rule than anything imagined by Hitler...and the greatest asset has been getting people to LIKE and even prefer Fascism...that took time, it took television and advertising and a slow, steady take-over of the educational system....these things take time, especially as they are, at first, hampered by the whole idea that we are "free" to "vote" our desires...what that has meant is that we have been induced to vote for the desires of OTHERS...of the rich and powerful.....brilliant but also time-consuming.

And, here we are...the "small people" are eager to "freely vote" for a billionaire....how's THAT for Democracy?
