...haven't finished watching but I related to Norman's critique of his early love-afair with Marism/Leninism.....his "moment" came when he went to work in a factory in Nicaragua, "just to get the feel"...and was introduced to the best worker they had....when Norman asked why he was the best, the forelady replied "because he does everything we tell him to". He says he lost his faith there and then.....I worked in factories since I was 18....canneries, a paper mill...driving trucks...cleaning etc...and I NEVER wanted to work in a "Worker's Paradise"...I have a feeling Marx and Engels and Trotsky never worked in factories rubbing elbows with common workers....I did and I found the idea of being ruled by THEM horrible to contemplate.

Besides the issue any longer is not work, in factories or otherwise but the demise of our planet...being killed in large part because we want to WORK in order to SHOP. What paradise can anyone give you when the air and water are fouled beyond use? You buy a mask? You buy water to shower in? Or is all ok because so long as we BUY BUY BUY..we're alive"?
