That is a very true statement. I know some (just a few) non-ethnic Americans who have expressed to me that they feel like they are missing out due to their lack of "culture", history, and traditions, etc. I would imagine it is a negative and harmful thing to find out that your alleged history and identity are based on lies.

I'm proud of even what the modern Iraqi nation was able to achieve before the country was goaded into war with Iran, bombed to hell, etc. And I'm proud of what the ancients accomplished, direct descendants or not.
