What the we don't read or hear in our news is that today Obama is in Germany trying to completely turn Merkel against Putin and convince the NATO countries, UK, Germany, Italy, and France to bulk up an unprecedented military force in the Baltic countries, right on Russia's doorstep. Last week Obama once again reiterated that "Russia is an existential threat" to the U.S. This week he will ask his peons in the EU to act against their own nation's interests... by playing Hyenas against the Russian Bear. Good luck.

p.s. We should begin to say goodbye to the "Pink Tide" of South American socialism. Argentina's new right wing president is rolling back most of the previous programs implemented by the leftist president, Christina Kirchner and her late husband. Venezuela is in chaos. The National Assembly is now fully right wing and conspiring to get rid of Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution. In Bolivia, Evo Morales came up short to run for a fourth term: he lost the referendum to enable him to do so. And worst of all, Brazil, the seventh biggest economy in the world, and the largest country in South America, is in the process of impeaching President Rousseff, which in reality is just another attempt at a coup, much like what happened to Chile's Allende, or a flashback to Brazil's own history when in 1965 President ‎João Goulart was overthrown and replaced with neo-Nazis. Oh well. When Chavez died (or was killed?) I knew it was the beginning of the end. Neoliberalism is a relentless motherfucker. It takes its time like a snake. It waits for the right time to strike for the kill. And the foot-soldiers and useful idiots are the new generations of youth who were too young to remember the repression from the right wing oligarchs. They've been brainwashed via private news outlets -- much like Fox -- to fight against their own better interests. What fools. Wait until they get their free education and healthcare taken away from them. Then what? Like most Russians and Eastern Europeans, they'll yearn and dream of the days and years of the "Pink Tide".
